About The Role

Morrison Energy Services is currently looking to recruit a Materials Controller on a 3 months Fixed Term basis, to work on our London CMO contract based in Slough.

As a Materials Controller you will be part of our Operational Logistics Team who are responsible for the overall control, maintenance, stocks and operation of the Slough Yard.

Morrison Energy Services is a working in partnership with Cadent Gas on a 5 year contract to deliver the Network Mains Replacement Programme and other related investment projects in North London.
 

As the Materials Controller your duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining the yard to a high standard of tidiness and cleanliness, ensuring Health & Safety is prioritised
  • Liaising with stakeholders on a day to day basis
  • Checking incoming deliveries and report missing or damaged products
  • Checking and storing off-hired equipment
  • Maintain stock levels in all yard areas, carrying out regular stock count
  • Cleaning and preparing equipment
  • Vigilance to prevent loss of product by theft etc. and reporting any Health & Safety issues to the Line Manager immediately
  • Maintaining good housekeeping standards 
  • Acting as the link between the part coil returns and the stores, to make sure they are returned, rebranded and documented

 Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

  • Experience and understanding of gas pipe and fittings 
  • Knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Ability to stocktake and produce inventories, requisitions and account for holdings
  • Manual handling of equipment experience (Not Essential - Training Provided)
  • Fork Lift and/or Mini Digger Licence (Not Essential - Training Provided)

Additional Details:

  • This is a fixed term role for 3 months
  • Immediate start required
