About The Role
To support growth within the Capital and Developer Services workstreams of the Dwr Cymru Welsh Water - Water Network Alliance Contract, a vacancy is available for an experienced Capital Delivery Planner with extensive water industry experience.  To take overall ownership and responsibility for delivery of the end-to-end process to ensure the successful delivery of all projects falling under their remit, working closely with the Project Manager and Delivery Manager to achieve the alliance delivery requirements. Responsibility includes all aspects of the project from handover from DCWW, to investigation and design through to operational delivery and handover back to the client. To ensure we maximise contract efficiencies by optimising productivity on site and contributing to the business/ contract targets.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • You will liaise with Delivery Manager and Design Manager to review high level zonal studies programme and optimise delivery and resource requirements
  • Integrate capital delivery requirements with Repair & Maintenance and Developer Services resource demand to ensure resources are enhanced across all workstreams
  • You’ll generate project specific programme for individual schemes, liaising with Project Management team, and providing input to the commercial element during estimation, design and construction
  • Ensuring programmes are developed to the required NEC3 compliant standard and are consistent across all workstreamsŸYou will monitoring performance of projects and workstreams against SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Ensure compliance with our processes and procedures
  • Acting as key point of contact for client management team relevant to work stream
  • Ensure client standards of service are met and maintained
  • Deliver financial, productivity and Morrison Utility Services performance standards
  • Ensure all allocated work is effectively managed so that delivery meets the client and customer requirements
  • Ensure effective site liaison and communications with the client, customers, colleagues and other stakeholders
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
  • Experience working on P6 or MS Project at project and programme level
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven track record in delivering efficiency savings
  • Proven stakeholder and customer management skills
  • Ability to work to tight timescales and prioritise work efficiently
  • Working knowledge of CDM 2015 and associated health and safety legislation
  • Commercial acumen and experience of NEC3 Option A, C and E forms of contract
  • Extensive working knowledge of pressurised pipelines and experience working on large diameter, high pressure and schemes with engineering difficulties
  • Extensive experience of Capital and Developer Services projects operating and delivery within the Clean Water Utilities Sector, to include:-
  • Mains renewals and rehabilitation via open cut, directional drilling, pipe bursting, slip lining and the like
  • Mains cleansing including site investigation, enabling works and ice pigging
  • Developer services site installs including lay only on site works and excavate and lay off site works
  • Under pressure and flow stop techniques
