About The Role

Morrison Energy Services is recruiting for a Gas Compliance Manager to work on our EON Smart Metering contract.  

As the Gas Compliance Manager you will be part of our Safety Team who are responsible for Safety and Gas Compliance across the whole contract.

The EON Smart Metering contract covers a national footprint installing and maintaining smart meters for our client EON.

As the Gas Compliance Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the business maintains the required certification in conjunction with industry standards.
  • Write and maintain contract policies and procedures to meet with the industry standards.
  • Represent the company at industry forums.
  • Support the business in the development of safe systems of work, equipment selection and approval.
  • Assist operational leads with accident and incident investigations.
  • Along with the Contract SHEQ Manager assist with the management and motivation of the audit team.
  • Apply learning from the audit failures to improve working practices and reduce incidents and accidents.
  • Create alerts and bulletins to clearly define safe working practices.
  • Carry out Gas authorisations and maintain the contact authorisation database ensuring all operatives have the correct level of competence for their role

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • Hold relevant gas qualifications including REGT1
  • Be a good communicator
  • IT skills including word, excel and power point
  • Knowledge of safety management systems and accreditations
  • Either hold or be prepared to complete a NEBOSH qualification
  • Be self motivated to achieve the required goals

Additional Information

  • The job role is a national role and the successful candidate will be required to stay away from home from time to time to meet the demands of the contract.
