Morrison Water Services are recruiting for a Assistant Construction Manager to work on our Thames Water Mains Rehab contract in South London & Guildford.

As the Assistant Construction Manager you will be part of you Mains Delivery Management team who are responsible for Operations Team with delivery responsibilities.

As thAssistant Construction Manager you will be responsible for assisting the Construction Manager with main documentation for Thames Water approval. You will complete Quality Assurance checks, from pre-construction through to handover of each scheme. You will assist programme development and Streetworks request. You will hold required meetings with managers, client’s representatives and third parties. 

You will be responsible for assisting with procurement take offs from design construction drawings. You will develop / populate trackers and spread sheets relevant to the project. You will ensure that all Health and Safety procedures are considered for all activities that MWS carried out. This will be completed with regard to the Health and Safety Legislations within the work activities we complete. You will manage and develop relationships through maintaining regular contacts with the relevant client representatives.

Are you able to work under pressure, to tight time scales and prioritise staff focus and work efficiently?
 
Are you able to work as part of a local management team?
 
Do you have an understanding of Health and Safety legislation?
 
Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills?

Additional Information

  • Be familiar with and demonstrate a commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.  
  • Implement the relevant requirements of the SMS and EMS within their area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that the Health & Safety Environmental Policy are effectively communicated to the workforce.
