About The Role

Morrison Utility Services are currently looking to recruit  a Repair and Maintenance Operative to work on our Welsh Water contract in Nelson.

As an Operative you will be part of our Repair and Maintenance Team who are responsible for R&M activities across our contract.

We've just entered into a 5 year alliance contract with our client Welsh Water delivering R&M and New development schemes across Wales. 

As a Repair and Maintenance Operative, your duties and responsibilities will be:
  • Ensure all dig and fix works undertaken is safe and in line with Morrison Utility Services procedures and industry best practice.
  • Risk assessment
  • Set up site and remove site. Chapter 8.
  • Appear presentable (personally and vehicle)
  • Demonstrate an excellent level of customer engagement (pre site calls and in person)
  • Defect/damage reporting
  • Working in highways with pedestrians and live traffic.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work site, tidy vehicle and tooling
  • Adhere to any relevant policies and procedures
  • Escalates issues
  • Support their supervisor.

 Skills and Experience:

  • Driving Licence Water SHEA or CSCS
  • Ability to use computer applications effectively.

Desirable:

  • NRSWA including Reinstatement modules
  • Driving Licence including towing B,E
  • Water SHEA or CSCS
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Manual Handling
  • IT Literate - Ability to use computer applications effectively.
  • Water hygiene card
  • Mini excavator CPCS
  • Electrofusion
  • Abrasive Wheels
