About The Role

Morrison Utility Services, the UK’s largest, dedicated utility service provider has been awarded the Welsh Water Network Alliance Contract. The scope of work will include the repair and maintenance of clean water network assets covering the whole of Wales.

To help us deliver this exciting new contract we are recruiting for a Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Team Leader.

As the Repair and Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure all Task Team works undertaken is safe and in line with MUS, UU procedures and industry best practice.
  • Risk assessments
  • Set up site and remove site. Chapter 8.
  • Appear presentable (personally and vehicle)
  • Demonstrate an excellent level of customer engagement (pre site calls and in person)
  • Able to inspect all work and work equipment for defects
  • Defect / damage reporting
  • Working in highways with pedestrians and live traffic
  • Maintain a clean and safe work site, tidy vehicle and tooling
  • Adhere to any relevant policies and procedures
  • Mentoring the team mate/operative
  • Achieve a high level of technical feedback in to corporate systems (tough book/tablet)
  • Achieve a high level of commercial feedback (time sheets, work sheets and fuel returns)
  • Escalates issues
  • Emergency call-out and standby
  • Supporting your Supervisor

Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to use computer applications effectively
  • Mini excavator CPCS
  • Driving License including towing B,E
  • Water hygiene card
  • Water SHEA or CSCS
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • Manual Handling
  • Electrofusion
  • IT Literate
  • NRSWA including Reinstatement modules (desirable)
  • Deep Excavations/Temporary works (desirable)
