About The Role

Morrison Utility Services are currently looking to recruit an Out of Hours Planner/Scheduler to work on our 6152 DCWW Waste contract in Bodelwyddan, North Wales.

As an Out of hours Planner/Scheduler you will be part of our waste water team who are responsible for the running of the Welsh Water sewerage network contract.

Job Description

Responsible for scheduling work and calling customers

Job Purpose

The Schedulers key roles include allocating reactive work to teams depending on location and to call customers and keep customers fully updated on the progress of the job. Planning in work for teams to ensure maximum productivity is achieved.

Schedulers work in pairs of two in a rolling 4 on 4 off shift rota on a staggered shift covering the hours of 7pm till 6:45am with possible lone working.

Key Duties

  • Allocate reactive jobs to teams dependent on location across North Wales
  • Plan works to crews ensuring maximum productivity is achieved at all times
  • Ensure that the work planned is in line with all KPI SLA’s
  • Updating SAP with all information provided by operations, DCWW and the customer 
  • Review reports provided on a daily/weekly basis to ensure compliance is met for the day planning of work (BI)
  • Ensure that defined processes are adhered at all times
  • Creating customer appointments and ensuring that these are followed through
  • Plan all work logistically to ensure a reduction in travel time
  • Categorise all work in the backlog correctly on SAP to reflect the reasons for the work delay on the daily BI 
  • Contact customers as and when required to reduce unwanted contacts 
  • Liaise with DCWW technicians on urgent/emergency work 
  • Support the other schedulers as and when required
  • Perform other tasks as and when required
  • Other duties may be undertaken as and when required and are subject to change in line with the Company requirements

  • Excellent all round organisational skills
  • Excellent foresight and ability to plan ahead
  • Working with supervisors and operatives 
  • Ability to schedule work logistically
