About The Role

Morrison Utility Services are currently looking to recruit a Ganger to work on our Water Network Alliance contract in Swansea.

As the Ganger you will be part of our Water Network Alliance team who are responsible for multiple water projects 

As the Ganger your duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Undertaking risk assessments 
  • Following method statements 
  • Produce documentation such as trial hole logs and records
  • Ensure all excavations are carried out safely and to company policies and procedures 
  • Set up and remove sites in line with chapter 8
  • Appear presentable
  • Demonstrate excellent level of customer engagement
  • Defect and damage reporting
  • Working in highways with live traffic and pedestrians 
  • Maintain a clean and safe site
  • Maintain a clean and tidy van 
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures 
  • Escalate issues 
  • Support the supervisor 

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • NRSWA 
  • Previous experience working on water projects
  • Driving licence
  • NCO water main laying 
  • CSCS or SHEA
  • Emergency first aid
  • Manual handling
  • IT literate 
  • Ability to use computers 
  • Trench support 


  • CPCS excavator 
  • CPCS dumper 
  • Electro and butt fusion welding 
  • Abrasive wheel
  • Deep excavations / temporary works
