About The Role

Morrison Utility Services are currently looking to recruit a Chlorination Engineer to work on our Dwr Cymru Welsh Water WNWA South Wales contract in Nelson. 

As a Chlorination Engineer you will be part of our Developer Service/Capital team who are responsible for the pressure testing chlorination and sampling of newly installed water mains.  

Welsh Water is the sixth largest of the ten regulated water and sewerage companies in England and Wales who are responsible for providing over three million people with a continuous, high quality supply of drinking water and for taking away, treating and properly disposing of the wastewater that is produced.

As the Chlorination Engineer your duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Pressure Testing of all newly laid water mains 
  • Using our bespoke digital logbook system
  • Chlorination and disinfection of water systems
  • Arranging to meet the clients sampler and confirm when samples have passed 
  • Reporting to Supervisors and Project Managers on a regular basis 
  • Be compliant with SHEQ, hygiene practices and company procedures 

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • Previous experience as a chlorination engineer preferred 
  • Chlorination ticket 
  • Full driving licence 
  • Water Hygiene and SHEA Cards 
  • Able to problem solve and find solutions that are practicable, and cost effective to the business
  • Able to work to own initiative as well as in a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to prioritise work within deadlines
