About The Role

Morrison Utility Services are currently looking to recruit Commissioning Supervisor to work on our CWA contract in Scotland.

As Commissioning Supervisor you will be part of our Infrastructure Commissioning Team and will be responsible for commissioning activities across numerous CWA projects.  The Commissioning Supervisor role is to plan, oversee and carry out commissioning activities across CWA, throughout the construction and commissioning phases.  There will also be a requirement to assist with commissioning considerations during the design phase.  The Commissioning Supervisor will be required to manage commissioning teams and the safe delivery of pressure testing and disinfection activities on site.

CWA are currently in year 4 of Scottish Waters SR15 investment period and have secured the next 6 years work in SR21.

As the Commissioning Supervisor your duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Work as part of the CWA project team to plan and deliver successful commissioning activities.
  • Manage commissioning teams and commissioning activities on site.  Plan, Prepare, Deliver.
  • Take responsibility for the safe planning and execution of commissioning activities.
  • Create commissioning plans, RAMS, safe systems of work and testing procedures.
  • Work closely with Scottish Water to develop detailed commissioning plans.
  • Complete relevant paper works associated with commissioning activities and project deliverables. 
  • Provide commissioning support to construction site staff
  • Work with Inspection Test Plan and ensure Quality Control in accordance to the water industry standards and specifications.
  • Scottish Water – Standards/Specifications - DOMS, CESWI, BS EN codes, Water Industry Specifications (WIS)
  • Carry out site visits, inspections and observe commissioning activities on site.
  • Manage and control the use of commissioning equipment

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • A successful candidate should have 3 years or more experience within the Water industry, specifically with pipelines and the pressure testing and disinfection of new mains.
  • A knowledge and understanding of Scottish Water - Standards and Specifications including DOMS
  • You will be expected to communicate efficiently and on a technical level with colleagues and the client  
  • Report writing, record keeping and efficient communications skills are desirable
