About The Role

Morrison Utility Services is currently looking to Field Supervisor for our EON Smart Metering contract, who will oversee our London based teams.

The Field Supervisor will provide day to day operational guidance for all meter technicians within a defined geographical area, ensuring that they operate safely, profitably, to statutory, client and company expectations. 

You will be responsible for the supervision of our field resources, supervising a team of up to 30 Field Technicians.

The EON Smart Metering Contract encompasses electricity and gas, traditional and smart metering installation and maintenance services across London, the South of England and Scotland. The core delivery contract began in May 2016 and supports EON’s target to exchange meters for its five million customers with smart meters in line with government targets.

As a Field Supervisor your duties & responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure that the field technicians comply with the requirements of our MOCOPA, MAMCOP OAMI and Gas Safe accreditations in line with company policy / procedures. 
  • Monitor overall field performance, identifying any areas of under performance and take appropriate and timely action to rectify them.
  • Support the on-boarding Manager and Field Liaison Training Manager in ensuring that field operations are effectively trained in line with contract objectives / targets and that key personnel are retained and developed.
  • Oversee operational resource activity within your area to uphold professional, financial and quality standards.
  • Setting and managing performance.
  • Ensure that contracts operate profitably and continually seek and implement improvements and cost savings.

Essential Skills & Knowledge Requirements

  • Relevant qualifications in Smart Metering.
  • Articulate with high level negotiation skills.
  • Management experience in utility contracting, with a strong knowledge of Smart Metering.
  • Understanding of health & safety and quality management.
  • High degree of commercial / strategic awareness.
  • Good appreciation of statutory framework in contracting law, H&S law, employment law, etc.
  • Strong client and customer focus.
