About The Role

We require SHEQ Analyst to join us at Hinkley Point. The SHEQ Analyst will provide data trends and analysis on inspections, audits, observations and actions, ensuring the timely close out of all actions. Reporting to the SHEQ Manager,  they will ensure the training matrix remains up to date with all site personnel; also liaising with the internal training team to manage training bookings and requirements. They will also work closely with the Milestone L&D team for best practice.

 The SHEQ Analyst will be fully supported by the SHEQ Manager who will provide guidance, mentoring and training to ensure the role can be fulfilled correctly. This role will also require regular site visits with the onsite SHEQ Advisor to participate in assurance checks.

You'll be responsible for:

  • We are looking for a candidate who is a good team player and able to use their own initiative where required
  • A hard worker with a friendly, easy going nature, who can build rapports with site staff and the team
  • Confidence to engage with people and tackle problems as and when they arise
  • A candidate who has an interest in Health and Safety and is willing to learn at a steady pace in order to become a fully qualified and competent SHEQ professional

You'll have:

  • Working towards - NEBOSH General Certificate or relevant Level 3professional qualification
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety legislation, guidance and standards
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 Standards
  • Good understanding of construction environment and risk management
  • Knowledge of wider Health and Safety controls including Safeguarding
  • Reviewing and supporting on risk assessments, safe systems of work
  • Reviewing and undertaking COSHH assessments
