About The Role

M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions is currently looking to recruit a SHEQ Coordinator based in Stevenage with national travel.

As the SHEQ Coordinator, you will be part of our SHEQ department who are responsible for the management of Safety, Health, Environment & Quality systems in place within the business. You will ensure that operating procedures are worked towards, that processes are reviewed and closed out accordingly, preparing reports, statistics and presentations as well as providing advice and guidance to employees.     

Plant & Fleet Solutions provide asset management services across all M Group Services companies, including the provision of a wide ranging fleet of over 8,000 vehicles which range from company cars to LCV’s & HGV’s, we also have over 20,000 items of plant equipment. 

As the SHEQ Coordinator your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure all SHEQ inspections and audits are undertaken within the agreed time frame and closed out accordingly.
  • Ensure that any non-conformances raised are closed out correctly with route cause identified and in line with Company policy and procedure
  • To act as ‘Management appointee’ for all QMS matters
  • Prepare and present relevant statistics
  • Advise and assist site and office-based staff on all aspects of the Company’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management Systems and procedures
  • Continual promotion of the health and safety ethos and culture at all levels in the business
  • Contribute to and develop appropriate health and safety, as well as environmental initiatives
  • Prepare and distribute regular health and safety alerts as required.
  • Contribute to the development of operating procedures and other aspects of the Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management Systems
  • Ensure training records and matrixes are up to date and reflect the requirements of the business
  • Ensure that any non-conformances raised are closed out correctly with route cause identified and in line with Company policy and procedure.
  • To act as ‘Management appointee’ for all QMS matters
  • Prepare and present relevant statistics.
  • Raise purchase orders for SHEQ department

 Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Experience preferably in a health and safety/environmental and quality related role
  • Previous experience of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or recognised qualification in Quality Management desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience in delivering presentations/training sessions
  • Team player
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
