About The Role

Delivery Manager – ATEX and Electrical Services

Location: South East (working mainly from our Canning Town office)

Salary: Up to £60k per annum

Z-Tech Control Systems, a leading provider of ATEX and Electrical Services, is actively seeking a proactive and ambitious Delivery Manager to join our team. With recent framework awards propelling our growth, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to become an integral part of our management team. As the Delivery Manager, you will report directly to the Operations Manager of our ATEX and Electrical Services business unit.

Ideally, we are seeking someone with a strong understanding of Hazardous Area Electrical installation, inspection, and maintenance activities. However, exceptional general electrical knowledge is also acceptable. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to effectively communicate with customers regarding their electrical maintenance and installation challenges. They should be capable of providing thoughtful and practical solutions, possibly in collaboration with a Z-Tech Project Engineer.

Role Summary:

  • Oversee client requirements and programmes from start to finish, ensuring efficient resource allocation and high engineering and Health and Safety standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of routine and additional works within budget, meeting internal and client objectives.
  • Coordinate onsite activities, supervising delivery team members and liaising with supervisors.
  • Support business growth by developing relationships with existing and new customers aligned with core activities.
  • Improve processes, maintain legal and customer standard compliance, and act as a senior escalation route for technical issues.
  • Maintain high HSEQ standards consistently.
  • Conduct van and site audits, additional risk assessments, and post-work inspection audits.
  • Obtain relevant permits to work on behalf of the Business Unit.
  • Carry out post-work inspection audits and delegate recommendations.
  • Serve as the point of contact for daily queries from engineers and technicians.
  • Assess and approve weekly timesheet submissions and conduct PDR meetings.
  • Support Operations Manager and perform delegated duties.
  • Advise management and clients on project updates, issues, and objectives.
  • Ensure framework objectives are met to a high standard and within delivery times.
  • Submit project financial and schedule reports to Operations Manager.
  • Deliver on new and existing contract commitments related to customers.

Requirements:

  • Electrical and/or CompEx qualifications
  • Experience in hazardous area electrical work, preferably within the Water and Power generation industry (preferred but not essential).
  • Previous success in fast-paced environments, preferably in Delivery or Project Management.
  • Experienced with a variety H&S standards.
  • Full Valid Driving Licence.

  • Excellent planning, organisational and IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Confident communicator (written and verbally) with excellent interpersonal skills and with the ability to liaise and build relationships at all levels.
  • Professional demeanour, diplomatic yet assertive when necessary.
  • Self-motivated individual with good judgement.
  • Capacity to adapt and respond swiftly to unexpected circumstances.
  • Effective time management skills, capable of handling conflicting priorities.
  • Aptitude for making prompt and informed decisions in the company's best interest.
  • Goal-oriented mind-set with a focus on achieving results.
